Life these days seem more chaotic than ever!  We are overloaded with information, and just when we get used to something – it changes.  We’re distracted and pulled in too many directions.  We have to think quickly and make fast decisions.  We have difficulty balancing work, life, family, friends, and personal enjoyment.  We are constantly on the run, feeling pressure from every angle.  Put all of those factors together, and it’s only a matter of time before we let opportunities pass us by, believe we are not living to our fullest potential or, worse, feel trapped by circumstances.  No wonder many of us are constantly stressed, irritated and in conflict with others – and ourselves!

STRESS IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE A PART OF LIFE.

Stress is simply a natural response by our bodies to certain situations such as a threat or challenge, and can be either a positive or negative force for us. “Good” stress is a potent force that can inspire, motivate and drive us to achieve excellence in our lives.

Stress becomes a negative force when individuals feel overwhelmed, out of sync and out of touch with living an authentic life.  If the initial stressor isn’t addressed immediately, many experience layer upon layer of stress and it becomes a burden that dominates our lives physically, mentally and spiritually.  When we’re overstressed, the mind can trigger real changes in our bodies that can leave us vulnerable, exposed and susceptible to harmful effects such as weight gain, rapid aging, anxiety, lethargy and depression.
